Logan Community Bank Branches - Bendigo Bank

posted on

The Logan Community Bank Branches Bendigo Bank has partnered BRAKE in the Logan City Council area so that all schools within the area may access BRAKE.  This is incredible news not only for BRAKE, but the community in Logan.  Logan Community Bank Branches Bendigo Bank have provided sponsorship of $40,000 to allow a BRAKE Coordinator to manage the program within Logan.

We were presented with a cheque for $22,000 on October 13 at the Logan Community Forum held at the Logan Recreational Centre.

The partnership is even more exciting as Logan Community Bank Branches Bendigo Bank provided some of this sponsorship to go towards further development of our web page.  This not only assists Logan residents, but all communities where BRAKE is provided to schools.

This is an incredibly exciting time and I thank Logan Community Bank Branches Bendigo Bank for such wonderful support and faith.  I should highlight that all the Logan Community Bank Branches Bendigo Bank are exactly that - they are community branches.  They have openly displayed their community focus and re-investment in their communities by partnering BRAKE to help our young people and through them the greater community.  Not only have they assisted BRAKE, they have provided many other avenues of assistance to the local community.  What is very interesting and positive is that the ideas and plans for community assistance come from the community itself in the form of community forums that are regularly conducted.

One of the wonderful things about working with such a group are the incredible ideas, experience and networks that such community minded people bring to BRAKE.  So not only are we and the community receiving financial support, we are also receiving incredible 'in-kind' support, which arguably a monetary value can sometimes not be placed on.

You can see the Logan Community Bank Branches Bendigo Bank logo on our home page.  The logo will also be on the program itself in the Logan area and we are proud to put it on BRAKE material used throughout the Logan area.

For BRAKE and our communities this is a real representation of the community model that we are bringing to road safety.

I look forward to working with them and progressing this wonderful partnership.
