The BRAKE Program - adapted for Distance Education mode delivery - has been shortlisted in the 2009 Queensland Road Safety Awards.  The BRAKE program was adapted by Tamara Warner of the Capricornia School of Distance Education with assistance from the Central Queensland Coordinator, Cathie Flint.

Tamara spent many hours adapting BRAKE so that young people in remote areas can access BRAKE through Distance Education and still reap the benefits of group discussion that face to face courses deliver. Tamara did such a wonderful job in adapting BRAKE for Distance Education that it has been shortlisted in the 2009 Queensland Road Safety Awards.

Shortlisting in itself is a wonderful achievement in itself in such prestigious awards and is wonderful recognition for Tamara, the Capricornia School of Distance Education, and for BRAKE itself. Winners will be announced at Parliament House on Thursday 8th October 2009. Good luck Tamara!!
